SHANGHAI, Jul 24 (SMM) – A high-grade nickel pig iron (NPI) plant in north China has suspended its production since last week on environmental concerns, SMM learned.
This move is expected to last for one month.
The plant typically produces some 9,000 mt of high-grade NPI a month, which equates to 900 mt in metal content. This accounted for 3% of the overall high-grade NPI output across China in June.
