Daily crude steel output at CISA member mills dips 2.4% in late-May

Average daily output of crude steel at member mills of the China Iron and Steel Association from May 21-31 stood at 1.95 million mt

SHANGHAI, Jun 12 (SMM) – Average daily output of crude steel at member mills of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) during May 21-31 stood at 1.95 million mt, down 2.4% from the level during May 11-20, according to data from CISA.

Meanwhile, these mills produced 19.52 million mt of pig iron, 21.56 million mt of steel products, and 3.72 million mt of coke; with average daily output down 1.8%, up 3.2% and down 1.5% from May 11-20, respectively.
