Daily crude steel output across CISA member mills up 3.1% in mid-May

Crude steel output at member mills of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) during May 11-20 rose some 3.1% from levels during May 1-10 to average 2 million mt/day, showed data from CISA

SHANGHAI, May 30 (SMM) – Crude steel output at member mills of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) during May 11-20 rose some 3.1% from levels during May 1-10 to average 2 million mt/day, showed data from CISA.

The growth exceeded the increase of 1.7% over May 1-10 compared to 10 days earlier.

Steel inventories across CISA member companies came in at 13.92 million mt as of May 20, up nearly 2.3% from the level on May 10.
