Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group and Freeport have agreed to set the 2018 copper treatment and refining charges (TC/RCs) at $82.25/8.225 cents, SMM confirmed.

SHANGHAI, Dec 27 (SMM) – Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group and Freeport have agreed to set the 2018 copper treatment and refining charges (TC/RCs) at $82.25/8.225 cents, SMM confirmed.

This would be the annual benchmark for China Smelters Purchase Team (CSPT) to follow while others would reference the agreement in their negotiations.

The was below the 2017 copper concentrate TC/RCs benchmark at $92.50/9.25 cents.
