SHANGHAI, Sept. 13 (SMM) – Inner Mongolia exported a total of 5,029.9 tonnes of rare earth during the first half of the year, up 1.3 times from the same period of 2016, according to Hohhot Customs.
Export value reached 130 million yuan, up 26.5 per cent on a yearly basis, but the average export price was 26,000 yuan per tonne, off 44.2 per cent, according to customs data.
Approximately half of rare earth exports in the region went to Japan in the first half of the year, the largest buyer.
