The price gap on zinc between Tianjin and Shanghai expanded to 350-400 yuan per tonne at one point, exceeding the 200-300 yuan per tonne auto freight charge between the two regions.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 8 (SMM) - The price gap on zinc between Tianjin and Shanghai expanded to 350-400 yuan per tonne at one point, exceeding the 200-300 yuan per tonne auto freight charge between the two regions.

Spot premiums in Tianjin surged due to tight supply and steady consumption. This explains the big rise in the price spread, SMM said.
