Premiums on zinc price in Tianjin rose from 150 yuan per tonne early this week to 400 yuan per tonne over Shanghai prices on September 1, SMM reports.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 1 (SMM) - Premiums on zinc price in Tianjin rose from 150 yuan per tonne early this week to 400 yuan per tonne over Shanghai prices on September 1, SMM reports.

Spot premiums in Tianjin are 500-600 yuan per tonne against SHFE September zinc.

Zinc inventories in Tianjin fell for 2 weeks in a row. Meanwhile, inflows of imported zinc in Shanghai increased. This expanded the price gap between the two regions.
