SHFE Copper Finishes with Gains (2017-8-15)

SHANGHAI, Aug. 15 (SMM) – On Tuesday, SHFE 1710 copper opened at RMB 50,200/mt and then dropped to RMB 50,060/mt. The contract later rallied to RMB 50,400/mt and ended at RMB 50,330/mt, up RMB 50/mt. Positions increased 2,272 to 227,000 and trading volumes fell 56,974 to 169,000 lots. Positions of all SHFE copper contracts lowered 798 to 705,000. SHFE 1708 copper was delivered on Tuesday, closing at RMB 49,880/mt with settlement price of RMB 49,950/mt and delivery volumes at 21,125 mt.
