SHFE 1801 Nickel Closes Higher (2017-8-4)

SHFE 1801 nickel opened at RMB 84,860/mt today and hovered around RMB 84,400-85,110/mt, with the low-end of RMB 84,400/mt.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 4 (SMM) – SHFE 1801 nickel opened at RMB 84,860/mt today and hovered around RMB 84,400-85,110/mt, with the low-end of RMB 84,400/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1709 nickel surged to as high as RMB 85,400/mt and closed at RMB 85,120/mt, up RMB 320/mt or 0.38%. Trading volumes on SHFE 1801 nickel decreased 97,000 to 251,000, and positions increased 16,700 to 339,000. SHFE 1801 nickel will remain range-bound this evening. US July non-farm employment data will be eyed.
