SHFE 1605 nickel opened Wednesday night session at RMB 70,100/mt and then narrowly ranged RMB 69,880-70,400/mt.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 31 (SMM) – SHFE 1605 nickel opened Wednesday night session at RMB 70,100/mt and then narrowly ranged RMB 69,880-70,400/mt, to end at RMB 70,260/mt.

SHFE nickel started Thursday trading session at RMB 70,210/mt and once climbed to RMB 70,960/mt. Later, the contract erased some gains with exit of longs and closed at RMB 70,630/mt, up 0.8%. Trading volumes fell 164,000 to 838,000 lots and positions were down 14,766 to 429,000.
