SHFE 1709 nickel opened at RMB 82,640/mt today and rose to RMB 82,970/mt, but then dropped to RMB 81,720/mt.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 2 (SMM) – SHFE 1709 nickel opened at RMB 82,640/mt today and rose to RMB 82,970/mt, but then dropped to RMB 81,720/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1709 nickel rallied and closed at RMB 82,120/mt. Trading volumes on SHFE 1709 nickel increased 9,582 to 172,000, and positions decreased 16,502 to 296,000. Nickel prices fell further today. But profit at stainless steel plants may support SHFE nickel.
