SHANGHAI, Jul. 31 (SMM) - China’s output of ten nonferrous metals increased 7.2% year-on-year to 27.60 million tonnes in the first half of 2017, with growth up 7.1 percentage points year-on-year, according to National Development & Reform Commission (NDRC) website.

Copper production was 4.36 million tonnes, up 8.1% year-on-year, with growth 0.5 percentage point higher; aluminum output was 16.84 million tonnes, up 8.8% year-on-year, and growth was down 1.9% over the same period last year; lead production was 2.53 million tonnes, up 5% year-on-year, with growth up 2.2 percentage points; zinc output was 2.98 million tonnes, down 1.2% year-on-year, and growth slowed 0.3 percentage point. Alumina production was 37.22 million tonnes, up 19.7% year-on-year, compared to 1.6% drop in the same period of last year.
