Battery Producers Lift Price up amid Rising Lead Prices, SMM Reports

Ignition battery producers announced to raise ignition battery price up by 3-5%.
SHANGHAI, Jun. 20 (SMM) – Ignition battery prices at many battery producers, which have conducted promotions for a long time, approach to cost territory. This, combines with continuous growth in lead price, narrow profits at battery producers. Some battery producers thus announced to raise ignition battery price up by 3-5%.

In other news, orders at ignition battery producers improve, despite of sluggish end-user demand, as distributors build low-priced goods stock with optimistic outlook.

Motive battery market keeps brisk after price hike announcement. Active purchases by distributors increase orders at battery producers, and some producers in face of insufficient inventory even postpone shipments. Besides, lead price growth underpins battery prices. Most battery producers reversed to profits from losses based on current battery price.
