India imported containerized scrap prices slump in January

Indian scrap markets swiftly followed the Turkish price down, the US price has however remained elevated, with market participants expecting February to be down between $30-$40 a long ton.

MUNBAI (Scrap Register): Indian scrap markets swiftly followed the Turkish price down, the US price has however remained elevated, with market participants expecting February to be down between $30-$40 a long ton.

For Live Indian Plastic Scrap Prices Log on to Scrap Register

The Indian market for imported containerized scrap slumped with the Turkish market towards the end of the month. Prices fell from $285 a long ton to $235 a long ton.

High prices kept the market subdued, but there is optimism that buying will increase at these new lower price levels.
