SHFE 1702 zinc climbed to RMB 23,135/mt after opening due to yuan’s devaluation and then dropped to RMB 22,930/mt.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 15 (SMM) – SHFE 1702 zinc climbed to RMB 23,135/mt after opening due to yuan’s devaluation and then dropped to RMB 22,930/mt. In the afternoon, SHFE 1702 zinc closed at RMB 22,930/mt, up RMB 520/mt or 2.32%. Trading volumes increased 79,062 lots to 625,000 lots, and positions increased 4,056 to 232,000. SHFE 1612 zinc was delivered, closing at RMB 22,660/mt, up RMB 550/mt or 2.49%. SHFE 1702 zinc is expected to experience corrections in the evening session.
