North American Aluminum scrap prices hold steady on Index on 8th Dec, 2016

The North American Aluminum scrap prices remained unchanged on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on December 8th, Thursday.

SPOKANE (Scrap Monster): The North American Aluminum scrap prices remained unchanged on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on December 8th, Thursday.

1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were flat at $0.59 per Lb. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions held steady over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat at $0.56 per Lb and $0.54 per Lb respectively.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained flat. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on 8th December.

Chrome Wheels and E.C Aluminum Wire prices remained flat over the day.

Litho Sheets and MLC Clips remained flat at $0.60 per Lb and $0.56 per Lb respectively.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too remained unchanged.

The prices of Old Cast and UBC witnessed no change over the previous day.

Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too held steady.

Secondary Aluminum PMI Rebounds to 68.8 in March, Expected to Weaken in April
[SMM Flash] SMM data showed that the PMI of the secondary aluminum industry in March rebounded sharply by 40.9 percentage points MoM to 68.8, returning above the 50 mark. In March, enterprises basically resumed normal production, and downstream demand gradually recovered. Both the production and new orders of secondary aluminum enterprises in March increased significantly from February. In April, orders for secondary aluminum are expected to weaken, and the industry PMI is expected to pull back below the 50 mark.
