SHANGHAI, Sep. 19 (SMM) - The Xiarihamu copper-nickel mine in Qinghai has now discovered 10 copper-nickel and cobalt deposits, and is expected to contribute massive nickel reserves, cnmn.com reported.
Sichuan Finds Large Copper Mine to Succeed Lala Mine
It submitted 1.06 million tonnes of nickel reserves with grade of 0.68%, and 217,600 tonnes of copper reserves grading 0.166% on average. The mine also contains 38,100 tonnes of cobalt reserves, with average grade of 0.025%.
The extra large copper-nickel mine is China’s first orogenic copper-nickel mine and the first Caledonian ultra-large magmatic liquation deposit in the world.
