Turkish HMS 1/2 80:20 import prices continue to decline to $214 a ton

Turkish HMS 1/2 80:20 scrap import average prices (CFR Iskenderun Port, Turkey) continued to decline to $214 a ton during the week ended July 01, as per the latest figures from the Steel Index.

ANKARA (Scrap Register): Turkish HMS 1/2 80:20 scrap import average prices (CFR Iskenderun Port, Turkey) continued to decline to $214 a ton during the week ended July 01, as per the latest figures from the Steel Index.

The daily benchmark index for deep-sea Turkish imports of HMS #1&2 80:20 dropped by $4 a ton during the week to $214 a ton CFR Iskenderun port.

Although a number of trades were heard in the market, two of these were reportedly concluded at the end of last week. 

Therefore, apart from a Baltic merchant reportedly selling a premium cargo to an EAF-based steelmaker in Marmara at an average price of $214 a ton, which normalized to $210.50 a ton CFR for HMS #1&2 80:20, the week was quiet in trading due to Eid festivities.
