SHFE Zinc Prices Close with Gains (Dec. 14, 2015)

SHANGHAI, Dec. 14 (SMM) – SHFE 1602 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,835/mt last Friday evening, and fluctuated in RMB 30/mt range, and closed the day at RMB 12,850/mt, up RMB 160/mt. Trading volumes on SHFE 1602 zinc contracts were 278,000 lots, and total positions increased 1,672 to 211,000.

SHFE 1602 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 12,850/mt on Monday, and hit RMB 12,950/mt, and closed the day at a two-week high of RMB 12,900/mt, up RMB 210/mt. Trading volumes of SHFE 1602 zinc contracts grew 94,000 to 620,000 lots, with total positions down 1,076  to 208,000.
