SHFE Zinc Prices Finish with Losses (Jan. 7, 2015)

SHANGHAI, Jan. 7 (SMM) – SHFE 1503 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 16,790/mt Tuesday evening, then fell to RMB 16,650/mt, and closing at RMB 16,675/mt, down RMB 5/mt or 0.03%. Trading volumes were down 74,790 to 75,342 lots, and total positions decreased 1,224 to 162,750.

SHFE 1503 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 16,730/mt on Wednesday, then hovered between RMB 16,700/mt, falling to RMB 16,590/mt at one point, and rallying at the end of trading to close at RMB 16,630/mt, down RMB 50/mt or 0.3%. Trading volumes decreased 64,514 to 174,974 lots. Total positions were down 2,234 to 161,740. SHFE 1503 zinc contract prices are expected to consolidate this evening.
