SHFE Zinc Prices Finish with Increases (Mar. 16, 2015)

SHFE 1505 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 15,695/mt last Friday evening, then dropped to RMB 15,650/mt, but rebounded to RMB 15700/mt later the day.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 16 (SMM) – SHFE 1505 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 15,695/mt last Friday evening, then dropped to RMB 15,650/mt, but rebounded to RMB 15700/mt later the day, and closed the day at RMB 15,715/mt, up RMB 20/mt or 0.13%. Trading volumes decreased 1,630 to 37,050 lots, and total positions increased 2,156 to 171,708.

SHFE 1505 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 15,720/mt on Monday, then edged up to RMB 15,840/mt, and closed out the day at RMB 15,815/mt, up RMB 120/mt or 0.76%. Trading volumes increased 16,848 to 124,646 lots, and total positions decreased 5,274 to 164,278. SHFE 1505 zinc contract prices will lack ability to rise in the near term.
