Copper Price to Reach Year High in 2Q in 2015, Says SMM

Copper price is expected to range $6,200-7,300 per tonne in LME copper market, and 44,000-51,000 yuan per tonne in SHFE copper market in 2015, Shanghai Metals Market foresees.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 24 (SMM) - Copper price is expected to range $6,200-7,300 per tonne in LME copper market, and 44,000-51,000 yuan per tonne in SHFE copper market in 2015, Shanghai Metals Market foresees.

"Copper price will reach its year's high during the second quarter of 2015 next year," Zhou, SMM's copper analyst said at 2014 SMM China Metal Summit in Shanghai on Nov. 23-24.

"Not very good market fundamentals will put a downward pressure on copper price in 2015", she adds.
