SHANGHAI, Mar. 17 (SMM) – Copper prices are expected to trade in a lower price range in 2016, SMM reports at 2016 Copper&Aluminum Summit in Shanghai.
“We don’t hold pessimistic attitude towards copper prices before May, but the lowest point of the year is expected in the second half of the year,” the analyst predicted at 2016 SMM Copper&Aluminum summit from Mar. 17-18.
Copper prices are expected to trade between $4,000-5,500 per tonne in 2016, with year’s peak at $5,200-5,300 per tonne.
In China, copper consumption is expected to grow at 2.5%-3% in 2016, the analyst added told the attendees at the summit.
