Chinese Galvanizers Expected to Run at Full Capacity in Q4 on Robust Orders

Utilization rate at galvanizers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai are expected to reach 100% during Q4, Shanghai Metals Market’s survey shows.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 14 (SMM) – Utilization rate at galvanizers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai are expected to reach 100% during Q4, Shanghai Metals Market’s survey shows.

A noticeable growth in orders for galvanized mounts from the photovoltaic sector is the main reason behind such prediction, SMM understands.

Photovoltaic demand from China, Japan, India, Australia and Thailand will reach 17.2GW in H2 2014, 60% of global total, according to the NPD Group.

In addition, PV demand in China will pick up with the arrival of winter months in most parts of the country.

Orders for PV mounts were stable January-July this year, according to SMM survey.
