SHFE 1410 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 17,060/mt Tuesday evening, but fell to RMB 17,030/mt as a large number of longs left the market.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 23 (SMM) – SHFE 1410 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 17,060/mt Tuesday evening, but fell to RMB 17,030/mt as a large number of longs left the market, and closing at RMB 17,025/mt, down RMB 15/mt or 0.09%.

SHFE 1409 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 17,025/mt on Wednesday, then plunged to RMB 16,935/mt before rising to RMB 17,000/mt due to strong long momentum, and closing at RMB 17,175/mt, up RMB 135/mt or 0.79%. Trading volumes decreased by 121,548 lots, to 164,734 lots, and total positions of SHFE 1409 zinc contracts increased by 7,198 lots to 252,206 lots.
