One 1 million-tpy Ni-Cr alloy project, with total investment of 4.8 billion yuan ($779 million) is expected to come on stream this October in Fengzhen, Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 9 (SMM) – One 1 million-tpy Ni-Cr alloy project, with total investment of 4.8 billion yuan ($779 million) is expected to come on stream this October in Fengzhen, Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia, local media reported today.

The project, invested by Inner Mongolia Shangtai Industrial Co., will produce 600,000 tonnes of nickel pig iron, 1 million tonnes of Ni-Cr alloy annually after reaching full designed capacities. 2,000 new jobs will be also added, it said.
