Shanghai recently released plan on promoting usage of new energy vehicles, setting a goal of adopting a total of 13,000 new energy vehicles in 2015.
SHANGHAI, Mar. 24 (SMM) – Shanghai municipal government recently released plan on promoting usage of new energy vehicles, setting a goal of adopting a total of 13,000 new energy vehicles in 2015, China Environment News reported today. 
 
These new energy vehicles will be used in various fields, including public transportation, business transportation, environment cleansing, as well as logistics. The promotion and adoption of new energy vehicles will help save 75,000 tonnes of gasoline and diesel a year, and reduce 100 tonnes of particle emissions and 200,000 tonnes of gas emissions. 
 
Shanghai will also step up efforts to improve the construction of infrastructure facilities, to lay a solid foundation for expanding new energy vehicle adoption in the future, the report added.
