Guangdong Rare Earth Industry Group was ordered to complete integration of Guangdong’s rare earth industry before the end of 2015.   

China’s First Batch of Rare Earth Export Quotas for 2014 Inch Down
China’s first batch of rare earth export quotas for 2014 inch down and Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare-earth (Group) Hi-tech Co., Ltd. failed to secure quotas.

The first batch of export quotas for light and heavy rare earth in 2014 were 15,110 tonnes, down 2.5% from 2013, the Ministry of Commerce announced December 13.

Surprisingly, Baotou Steel Rare-earth Group, China’s giant in the industry, was not shortlisted for failing to meet environmental protection standards.

Corun New Energy Invests in Hunan Rare Earth Industry Group
Hunan Corun New Energy Co., Ltd. recently announced that Hunan Rare Earth Industry Group will be established soon.

The company will inject RMB 90 million into the group, making it the top shareholder along with Hunan Gold Group Co., Ltd.
