China Silicon Metal Market Held Steady (9 Jul. 2013)

SHANGHAI, Jul. 10 (SMM) – On July 9, prices for #553 silicon metal at Huangpu port were RMB 10,900-11,000/mt, while prices for #441 were RMB 11,600-11,650/mt. Prices were RMB 11,900-11,950/mt for #3303 silicon metal and RMB 12,400-12,600/mt for #2020. Although some transactions were done at lower prices, most silicon metal producers held quotes firm at RMB 11,100/mt. Downstream buyers remained cautious and mainly purchased goods at RMB 10,900/mt. Trading remained stable.
