SHFE 1303 aluminum contract prices extended losses and lost support at RMB 15,150/mt on Thursday.

SHANGHAI, Jan. 24 (SMM) – SHFE 1303 aluminum contract prices extended losses and lost support at RMB 15,150/mt on Thursday. Spot aluminum prices in south China followed suit, with mainstream traded prices down to RMB 15,050-15,060/mt. Traders were in a hurry to sell at the month’s end, while downstream producers seldom entered the market, with only middlemen purchasing moderately at lower prices, depressing overall trading activity.
