East China Aluminum: Prices Fall on Preferential Policies for Electricity Prices

Traded prices of spot aluminum in Shanghai were between RMB 15,530-15,560/mt on Tuesday.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 26 (SMM) – Traded prices of spot aluminum in Shanghai were between RMB 15,530-15,560/mt on Tuesday, and low-iron aluminum was traded between RMB 15,620-15,680/mt in Shanghai. Aluminum prices kept falling with preferential policies for electricity prices implemented across the nation. Spot discounts in spot aluminum market expanded to RMB 20/mt, and raising bearish mood weakened buying interest. Transactions only improved when aluminum prices fell to RMB 15,530/mt.
