SHANGHAI, Jun. 12 (SMM) – The most active SHFE aluminum contract price opened lower Tuesday and rose narrowly later, helping pare back declines in spot aluminum prices. In South China, traded prices for mainstream transactions were between RMB 16,010-16,030/mt. Buying interest downstream improved when prices stayed low with transactions done at RMB 16,010/mt increased. However, buyers were unwilling to purchase at higher prices, leaving trading modest.
