South China Aluminum: Futures Market Not Optimistic, Spot Prices Fall Slightly

SHFE 1209 aluminum contract price opened at RMB 15,955/mt and fell to RMB 15,900/mt Wednesday.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 6 (SMM) – SHFE 1209 aluminum contract price opened at RMB 15,955/mt and fell to RMB 15,900/mt Wednesday. Spot prices in Nanhai were between RMB 16,030-16,050/mt, with market improving slightly. Some dealers were still not willing to move goods and waited on the sidelines. Although spot prices were down RMB 30/mt, downstream buyers still purchased as needed. Market players remained pessimistic to market outlook.
