Major economic data from Europe and US released yesterday was poor, while negative news was reported from the G7 meeting, causing market concerns.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 6 (SMM) – Major economic data from Europe and US released yesterday was poor, while negative news was reported from the G7 meeting, causing market concerns. LME zinc prices should fluctuate between USD 1,860-1,890/mt upon reopening, and SHFE three-month zinc contract prices should gave back gains and move between RMB 14,550-14,750/mt today, with discounts between RMB 30-80/mt.

Total zinc inventories across seven Chinese markets stood at 268,900 mt as of February 21, up 5,800 mt from Friday February 18, and 14,600 mt from Monday February 14.
