The most active SHFE aluminum contract price hovered between RMB 16,020-16,040/mt Monday.

SHANGHAI, May 28 (SMM) – The most active SHFE aluminum contract price hovered between RMB 16,020-16,040/mt Monday and failed to rise up, dampening increase in spot prices. In South China, mainstream traded prices were between RMB 16,110-16,130/mt. The railway transportation between Yunnan and Guangdong was impeded by storm, driving enterprises downstream to replenish stocks. Cargo holders were actively moving goods by month’s end, therefore, transactions in spot market improved moderately.
