South China Aluminum: Transactions Improve with Buyers More Willing to Purchase at Low Prices

The most active SHFE aluminum contract price gapped lower Wednesday.

SHANGHAI, May 23 (SMM) – The most active SHFE aluminum contract price gapped lower Wednesday and hovered around RMB 16,000/mt. As a result, spot prices in South China fell sharply, with mainstream traded prices between RMB 16,090-16,120/mt. Some downstream enterprises and dealers were willing to purchase at low prices as a few sellers cut prices for sales. Transactions improved from the previous trading day.
