The most active SHFE aluminum contract price met resistance at RMB 16,000/mt due to a lack of upward momentum Wednesday.

SHANGHAI, May 16 (SMM) – The most active SHFE aluminum contract price met resistance at RMB 16,000/mt due to a lack of upward momentum Wednesday. In South China, spot prices moved up to RMB 16,130-16,150/mt, but downstream buyers remained bearish and only purchased on an as-needed basis. Transactions were modest due to supply surplus.
