South China Aluminum: Sellers Move Goods Actively for Cash Needs, Buyers Purchase Cautiously

The most active SHFE aluminum prices opened lower and rose up on Tuesday.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 24 (SMM) – The most active SHFE aluminum prices opened lower and rose up on Tuesday, but with limited increases. Thus, bearish mood in spot aluminum market did not improve. Mainstream traded prices in South China hovered around RMB 16,060/mt. Buyers downstream purchased cautiously with sufficient goods supply in the market. Some sellers in spot market offered at RMB 16,050/mt due to growing cash needs at month's end, and trading was modest.
