LME zinc prices overnight moved between USD 1,980-1,990/mt during the day.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 12 (SMM) – LME zinc prices overnight moved between USD 1,980-1,990/mt during the day. The market expects European central bank will help ease pressure in Spain by purchasing government bonds, while Italian government bond yields fell from 5.695% on Tuesday to 5.541%, and Spanish 10-year government bond yields dropped from 5.992% to 5.876%. As a result, LME zinc prices closed at USD 1,998.5/mt, up USD 14.5/mt. SHFE three-month zinc contract prices should move between RMB 15,400-15,600/mt, with spot discounts between RMB 180-280/mt.
