South China Aluminum: Futures Surrender Gains, Spot Prices Meet Resistance

On Friday, the most active SHFE aluminum price fell after opening higher.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 16 – On Friday, the most active SHFE aluminum price fell after opening higher, dragging spot prices in South China market to RMB 15,990/mt. Some cargo holders held prices at RMB 16,000/mt with low selling interest, while downstream buyers were not actively purchasing, leaving sparse transactions. In the afternoon, aluminum prices fell slightly to RMB 15,980/mt, and sellers and buyers were in a stalemate.
