South China Aluminum: Futures Meet Resistance, Spot Prices in Nanhai Remain Stable

On Tuesday, SHFE 1205 aluminum contract price opened at RMB 16,190/mt and fell briefly.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 13 – On Tuesday, SHFE 1205 aluminum contract price opened at RMB 16,190/mt and fell briefly. Later, SHFE aluminum was boosted by the positive news of eased Greek crisis but met resistance at the 20-day moving average. Spot prices in Nanhai remained stable at RMB 15,950-15,970/mt. Traders held prices firmly with bullish outlook, while downstream buyers turned cautious and stood on sidelines as prices moved up. Trading sentiment remained weak in the market.
