South China Aluminum: Transactions Quiet with Sparse Inquiries

The most active SHFE aluminum contract price edged up after opening down on Wednesday.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 7 (SMM) – The most active SHFE aluminum contract price edged up after opening down on Wednesday, but met resistance at RMB 16,150/mt. In South China, spot prices continued to fall with mainstream transactions done at RMB 15,880-15,910/mt. Downstream enterprises stayed out of market with bearish outlook and inquiries were rarely reported, leaving transactions still quiet.
