SHANGHAI, Mar. 1 (SMM) – On Thursday, SHFE aluminum prices fell slightly and struggled at the RMB 16,200/mt level. Cargo holders in spot market in South China were not willing to move goods for low prices and stayed out of the market, driving spot prices up to RMB 15,890-15,910/mt, close to the aluminum prices in Shanghai. Middlemen were actively trading, but downstream buying interest was low. Transactions turned quiet in the afternoon.
