South China Aluminum: Prices Fails to Rally, Transactions Quiet

The most active SHFE aluminum price failed to rise and struggled around moving averages.

SHANGHAI, Feb. 20 (SMM) – The most active SHFE aluminum price failed to rise and struggled around moving averages. In South China, since inventories surged by nearly 20,000 mt, while downstream consumption remained soft, aluminum prices only hovered between RMB 15,860-15,890/mt despite lower selling interest among some cargo holders. Transactions were quiet in general.
