Russia January-November 2011 Copper, Nickel Exports Down

Russia exported in January-November 2011 141,100 metric tons of copper, a fall of 66.2% compared with the corresponding period in 2010, the federal customs service reported Friday.

MOSCOW, Jan 13, 2012 (Dow Jones) -- Russia exported in January-November 2011 141,100 metric tons of copper, a fall of 66.2% compared with the corresponding period in 2010, the federal customs service reported Friday.

The exported copper was worth $1.302 billion, compared with $2.959 billion in January-November 2010.

Russia's nickel exports in January-November 2011 fell by 29.6% on the year to 154,000 tons. The exported nickel was worth $3.723 billion compared with $4.723 billion in January-November 2010.

Practically all the copper and nickel exported in January-November 2011 went to countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States.
