SHFE #1 Lead Price Movement on December 21

SHFE lead prices opened higher on Wednesday.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 21 (SMM) – SHFE lead prices opened higher on Wednesday. Transactions were rarely reported in domestic spot markets. As lead prices rose slightly from the previous trading day, traders were actively selling goods, but downstream demand was weak. Quotations for well-known brands such as Nanfang, Chihong Zn & Ge were around RMB 15,250/mt, with premiums against SHFE 1201 lead contract prices of RMB 30-40/mt. Other brands such as Jingui and the brand from Fujian were traded at RMB 15,170-15,200/mt.

SHFE 1709 lead opened at RMB 18,555/mt and closed at RMB 18,425/mt, down RMB 15/mt or 0.08%.
