November Operating Rates at Aluminum Profile Producers up Slightly

SHANGHAI, Dec. 12 (SMM) -- According to a recent SMM survey of 29 aluminum producers with capacity totaling 1.43 million mt/yr, operating rates at these producers were 68.34% during November, up 2.46% from October.

The survey revealed that operating rates at large producers were up slightly to 71.64%, operating rates at medium producers were down slightly to 60.79%, and operating rates at small producers were up to 62.00%.

SMM predicts operating rates at China’s aluminum profile producers will remain near 65% during December based on new orders for December.
