SHANGHAI, Dec. 5 (SMM) – LME zinc prices generally moved between USD 2,010-2,030/mtduring Asian trading hours last Friday. The number of US non-farm employment increased 120,000 in November, compared to the forecast of 122,000, while unemployment rate was 8.6%, compared to the forecast of 9%, the lowest since March 2009. In this context, LME zinc prices once touched USD 2,075/mt, and finally closed at USD 2,045/mt, up USD 6.5/mt. Trading volumes decreased by 6,868 lots, to 6,422, and total position decreased by 2,177 lots, to 273,119 lots. LME inventories fell 4,100 mt, to 737,000 mt, with spot premiums rose to USD 5/mt. SHFE three-month zinc contract prices should rose between RMB 15,600-15,900/mt today, with discounts between negative RMB 50-150/mt against SHFE 1202 zinc contract prices.
