China's September Trade Surplus Narrows by 12.4 pct

China's trade surplus in September fell 12.4 percent from the same month last year to 14.51 billion U.S. dollars, the General Administration of Customs (GAC) announced Thursday.

Oct. 14 (xinhua) -- China's trade surplus in September fell 12.4 percent from the same month last year to 14.51 billion U.S. dollars, the General Administration of Customs (GAC) announced Thursday.

Exports and imports in the first nine months amounted to 2.68 trillion U.S. dollars, representing a 24.6-percent increase year-on-year.

From January to September, trade surplus shrank 10.6 percent to 107.1 billion U.S. dollars compared to a year ago.
