Minmetals Hanxing Mining Convenes 2012 Annual Ordering Fair

Minmetals Hanxing Mining 's annual ordering fair was held at a hotel in Hefei city, Anhui province on October 13, and would last for two days.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 13 (SMM) -- Minmetals Hanxing Mining 's annual ordering fair was held at a hotel in Hefei city, Anhui province on October 13, and would last for two days. During the morning session of the first day, participated companies would have an opportunity to know each other and to get information of Minmetals Hanxing Mining. During the afternoon session of the first day, a contract singing ceremony would be held. It was reported that all participants would pay a visit to Linuo iron ore mine in Huoqiu, Anhui province. Linuo iron ore mine is the key iron ore mine of Minmetals Hanxing Mining, and can produce 3.5 million mt of iron ore per year after it reaches full capacity, with current output around 80 kt per month.
 
According to a director from the company’s sales department, number of participants attended the fair was higher than that in the previous years, with participants largely steel mills from South China. The sales director also added that the company would put their focus for development in Anhui province, and the Anhui headquarter office would operate in late October. Meanwhile, the sales director also revealed that Nihe iron ore mine, another key mine of the company, would also be ordered in the near term, and shall be constructed soon.
 
Minmetals Hanxing Mining’s production scale of iron ore ranks very high in China. It has eight mines under mining, nine beneficiation plants and two mines under construction plan, which allows the company to have over 600 million mt resource reserves, to produce 14.88 million mt of iron ore per year and 6.37 million of iron ore concentrate per year. Major iron ore mines of the company include Xishimen mine, Beiluohe mine and Fushan mine in Hanxing, Hebei province, Lihou mine, Luopuwuji mine in Huoqiu, Anhui province, Nihe mine in Liu’an, Anhui province, Zhengjiapo mine and Gaoyang mine (without beneficiation plants) in Shandong province. Besides Nihe mine, Laobian mine in Yingkou, Liaoning province is also under construction plan. In addition, the company also has invested an iron ore mine in Mauritania, and field exploration work of the project has already done and FSR (feasibility study report) of the project will be finished in late 2011.
 
Minmetals Hanxing Mining’s iron ore concentrate output was 2.72 million mt in 2010, and is expected to reach 3.78 million mt in 2011. The planned iron ore concentrate output in 2015 will arrive to 10 million mt.
